PIANIST TAPS INTO ARTISTS' SOULS FOR INSPIRATION

Although she lives and works predominantly in Queensland, Clare Hansson enjoys touring and regularly travels interstate.  Tonight she will make her first appearance in the Illawarra as part of a Kiama mid-winter jazz show in the town’s Showground Pavilion.  Clare will be joining John McCarthy (clarinet and saxophone) and the Belmore Basin Jazz Band for this one-off performance.  Jazz fans can expect lots of uplifting music and perhaps even some of the improvisation Clare loves to throw into any performance.  Following tonight’s performance at Kiama, Clare will spent a week performing in Sydney and celebrate International Jazz Day with a special performance on the Richmond River Boat.
